Engineering Service Advisor


Join Northeast Engineering as a Service Advisor and be the key point of contact between customers and the workshop in a busy engineering environment. You’ll play a key role in supporting daily operations and ensuring jobs are managed efficiently.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Answering and directing incoming phone calls in a professional manner
  • Greeting and assisting customers, visitors, and staff
  • Monitoring service-related emails and customer enquiries
  • Scheduling service bookings and coordinating workshop jobs
  • Providing customers with updates on job progress and completion timeframes
  • Preparing quotes, invoices, and job cards
  • Liaising with technicians, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Carrying out general administrative tasks as required by team leaders and office staff
  • Maintaining accurate service records, job files, and documentation
  • Ordering and managing office and workshop supplies as required
  • Opening and closing the office, including securing premises and managing keys
  • Updating production line schedules and service tracking systems
  • Maintaining workplace registers, safety documentation, and notice boards
  • Supporting the workshop and service team with daily operational requirements

You will bring a positive, professional approach and a genuine passion for providing excellent service. You take pride in delivering a high level of customer support and are confident managing a busy environment.

  • Previous customer service, administration, or Service Advisor experience (preferred)
  • Friendly, professional, and client-focused attitude (essential)
  • Driver’s licence (essential)
  • Strong ability to prioritise and manage multiple competing tasks
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving ability
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn new systems
  • Strong customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality service
  • Interest in the engineering, transport, or industrial environment is highly regarded
