Business Development Manager - BCH Port Augusta
We are seeking a results driven Business Development Manager to assist in the growth of Big Chief Hire’s presence in South Australia. In this role, you’ll focus on building strong client relationships, identifying new opportunities and securing work for our truck and heavy machinery hire services.
We’re seeking an experienced, highly motivated Business Development Manager for our business. This role is all about driving profitable growth — maintaining and expanding a high-value client portfolio, uncovering new opportunities, and achieving monthly and annual revenue, profit, and volume targets across all markets and product categories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and manage the sales pipeline, identify and realise new business opportunities.
- Drive revenue growth to meet and exceed agreed-upon targets on a monthly and annual basis.
- Identify and develop key relationships with customers, stakeholders and influencers, and strategic execution of the business plan.
- Establish relationships with industry stakeholders and establish yourself as an industry client solution partner.
- Increase engagement across Major Projects and Tier 1 customers across Eyre Peninsula and South Australia
- Attend industry events and trade exhibitions as set out in the strategic plan.
- Respond to customer enquiries and provide accurate quotes and advice on hire and sales solutions.
- Contributing towards the achievement of the Company’s strategic and operational targets and overall business objectives.
About You
We are looking for someone with a hunter's mentality and understands the importance of being in the market and in front of customers. You are flexible, adaptable, and excited by the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company’s growth trajectory. As a commercially astute, results-driven, and confident individual you will also have:
- An ability to uncover client needs and provide customised solutions that are fit for purpose
- Proven sales experience, preferably within hire, civil construction or heavy industry
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with a customer focused mindset
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team as this is primarily a field-based role
- High Performing mindset, with excellent time management and organisational skills
- Proven track record in winning new business ideally within B2B equipment hire.
- Successful track record for achieving incredible sales results.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and prioritise work.
- Strong motivation to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- A fun, energetic and hardworking approach.
- Current driver's license.
