WHS Business Partner - Part-time (SA)

Northeast Auto Group Burton is looking for a WHS Business Partner who gets the pace and grit of the Automotive, Transport and Construction world, and cares just as much about the people behind the tools. This isn’t clipboard safety. This is boots on concrete, working side-by-side with management and their team to keep everyone going home safe — every shift. We’re growing fast, investing big, and we want someone who’s proud to champion a safe, healthy workplace the right way.

This role offers part-time flexibility to suit your lifestyle — whether that’s working around school hours (e.g. 9am–3pm) or across a reduced number of days. We’re open to hear from you.

What you’ll do

You’ll be out in our workshops and yards — listening, problem-solving, and driving initiatives and safer ways to work:
  • Champion practical safety culture across truck builds, fabrication, service, transport and construction
  • Help teams engineer out risks and work smarter, not harder
  • Lead proactive safety and wellbeing initiatives that people believe in
  • Support incident reporting with a no-blame, learn-and-improve approach
  • Make compliance feel simple and achievable

What we’re looking for

Someone who speaks the language of the workshop and/or heavy industry and has the confidence to influence leaders:
  • Cert IV in WHS or related qualification
  • Heavy Vehicle, Transport or Construction Industry knowledge
  • Solid WHS experience — risk management, investigations, compliance
  • Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation and regulations
  • Injury management or RTW experience
  • Excellent communicator — able to translate safety in practical term
  • Strong influencer and relationship-builder
  • ICAM (or similar) investigation training

What We Offer

  • Competitive remuneration package – we recognise and reward your skills, knowledge and experience
  • Flexible part-time hours to suit your lifestyle
  • Career growth and professional development within a supportive team
