Big Chief Hire in Burton is looking for a Part-Time Workshop Administrator to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys administration, staying organised, and supporting a busy workshop environment. Working closely with mechanics, workshop staff, and management, you’ll help keep daily operations on track through accurate record-keeping, job administration, and general office support.

 

About the Role

As a Workshop Administrator, you’ll provide essential administrative support to our workshop team, helping ensure jobs are tracked, records are maintained, and day-to-day processes run smoothly. You’ll assist with coordinating paperwork, updating systems, and supporting the team to keep workshop operations organised and efficient.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support to the workshop team.
  • Assist with work orders, job cards, and service documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of workshop jobs, servicing, and repairs.
  • Complete data entry and update internal systems and spreadsheets.
  • Assist with processing invoices, purchase orders, and other workshop documentation.
  • Help coordinate servicing, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
  • Liaise with mechanics, suppliers, and internal teams as required.
  • Maintain organised filing systems and ensure documentation is up to date.
  • Assist with tracking parts, equipment, and job progress.
  • Provide general clerical support to workshop management.

 

About You

You’re someone who enjoys keeping things organised, has a strong eye for detail, and can manage competing priorities in a busy environment. You bring:

  • Previous administration experience (workshop or automotive experience advantageous).
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy when handling paperwork and data entry.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
  • The ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
  • A reliable and flexible approach to part-time work.
